Spray Tanning While Pregnant

Spray tanning while pregant is generally considered safe, especially when done with professional, high-quality products like Aviva, which are DHA-based, paraben-free and fragrance-free. That said, there are a few important considerations:

Is It Safe?

Topical application of DHA (dihydroxyacetone)-the active ingredient in sunless tanners- does not penetrate beyond the outermost layer of the skin, meaning it is not absorbed into the bloodstream. This makes it a safer alternative to UV tanning during pregnancy.

What To know Before Spray Tanning While Pregnant:

Ventaltion Is Key: Ensure the tanning area is well-ventilated or ask for a nose filter/mask to avoid inhaling the mist.
Choose Clean Formulas: Opt for bands like Aviva that are vegan, organic and free from harsh additives.
Avoid During The First Trimester: Some clients prefer to wait until the second trimester as a precaution, though there's no evidence of harm.
Do A Patch Test: Hormonal changes can make skin more sensitive, so a test spot is a good idea.
